I'm skipping a month in Costa Rica and 10 months in Mexico and diving straight into writing about Colombia. Welcome to Bogotá!

After a week in the climatically inhospitable Bogotá, I take a bus to Escobar's homeland. I'm heading for Medellín.

From Medellín I move to Guatape, supposedly the most colourful village in the world. I buy a ticket at the main station in Medellín and look for a bus.

Cartagena is a historic and very popular city with tourists and travellers alike. This brings with it a lot of positives and negatives and a lot depends on what part of the city you are... and I wasn't exactly in the right one.

Wheel of Fortune, MANgirls, parties at hostels and finally the only positive thing about Santa Marta was meeting Alfredo. Santa Marta isn't really my thing...

Coin The second day after the luck in the wheel of fortune, I leave Saint Martha and move 650 m higher. It only takes half an hour by van. I find myself in the jungle and I have a view of the whole of Santa Marta, the sea, the forests...

Christmas and the end of the year are approaching and I discover the charm of the fishing village of Taganga. I experience soccer on the beach with natives and the Colombian triangle.

I spent my last days in Colombia back in Bogotá, where I still managed to meet some interesting people and take a guided tour of the city.
